 Forms for Adult Volunteers, Intern Volunteers and Campers can be reached from the links below.  Please print, fill out and mail as directed on the forms. Please pay the "Youth Camper" fee using the PayPal button below.

Fee for Youth Campers is $150 and will be paid through PayPal using the button below.  (Please add your "Youth Camper's" name in the PayPal "Instructions to merchant" field)

The 15th Annual Clyde Howell NRA Youth Shooting Sports Camp is for boys and girls ages 10 through 16.  All campers will be full time participants camping on the premises Friday night through Sunday (we are again going to camp Friday night this year) and will follow a daily schedule. It is requested that all campers and chaparones be on site starting at 4pm and no later than 6pm Friday, May 31st. Each camper will be assigned to a specific group based on age level. We cannot guarantee that you will be grouped with your friends or family. An adult chaperone, who camps overnight, is in charge of each group for the entire weekend. Adult volunteers unable to attend the full weekend should indicate which day they will NOT be attending on the form. All meals will be provided.

 Camper Eligibility: Any girl or boy who will be ages 10 through 16 during the camp is eligible to be a camper.

Camper Events:

 Campers will be given instruction in various shooting sports such as .22 caliber pistol, .22 caliber rifle, 20 gauge shotgun, archery, AR-15, outdoor skills and more. It is limited to the first 80 campers to complete registration.

 Intern Eligibility:

Individuals who are ages 17 through 20 may apply to the registrar separately for a non-paying internship. Individuals under the age of 17 who are prior campers may apply directly to the Camp Director for an age waiver to be an intern.

 Registration Procedure and Fee:

All registration forms (youth, intern and adult) must be completely filled out and ALL forms returned (payment for Campers made above via PayPal) to be processed as registered. Registration forms received incomplete or without the fee will be returned and will not be processed. Registrations are processed monthly February through April 15th and then weekly through the end of May. All slots are available on a first come, first served basis determined by completion of all forms and post mark. You will receive an email confirming your registration. In mid May you will receive a packet of information via email or post mail containing what to bring, directions to camp, rules, etc.  

Cancellation Policy:

Any cancellation received before midnight, April 1st will be refunded minus a $10 administrative charge. Cancellations received after April 15thare subject to a $25 cancellation fee and will receive the partial refund only if someone on the waiting list can fill the slot. A phone call and email is required to notify the registrar of your cancellation and an email will be returned to you confirming your cancellation. The registrar can be contacted at 815-545-3978 and

Waiting List Policy:

You will be sent an email &/or phone call informing you that you are on a waiting list. When an opening occurs you will be notified by phone and will be sent an email that you are now registered for camp. This can occur all the way up to the day of camp if you are willing to keep the date open for the possibility.

 SAFER USA and the Illinois State Rifle Association (hereafter referred to collectively as “sponsors,” will not be held liable for failing to hold the Clyde Howell NRA Youth Shooting Sports camp if such a failure results from any act of God, riot, war, civil unrest, flood, earthquake or other cause beyond the Howell Shooting Club’s reasonable control. Because the preponderance of camp expenses are incurred in advance of the camp, camper registration fees are non-refundable in the event of cancellation for circumstances beyond our control. Camp will not be rescheduled for the same year.
